We're pretty sure they were all talking about diapers. Or more specifically, our new Charcoal Change Mat! The perfect place for those delicate, almost surgical operations you perform on your baby's bottom. A little area of safety an protection for all those diaper changes.
Q: I'm used to having charcoal in my Barbecue, not on my baby's butt. Why would I want a Charcoal Mattress Protector?
A: You can do a lot more with charcoal than just setting it on fire. Charcoal is also:
Q: Stay Dry?
A: Yes! Our charcoal lining will feel dry even after absorbing moisture! Something both your hands and your baby will appreciate. It's this that allows charcoal to drastically reduce diaper rash.
Q: Cool. Does it come in different colours?
A: Yep! 2 colours (Orange and Blue) and 2 prints (Retro Bikes and Chevron). Anything else.
Q: Oh yeah, lots more.
A: Hmmm, how about I just give you the list.
Waterproof Bottom Layer: The bottom layer of the diaper change mat is lined with a medical grade waterproof material. Now you can lay your baby down for a nap on your single girlfriend’s prized mattress without any worries.
Baby Stays Dry: This thirsty combination of naturally wicking material will absorb a torrent of liquid and will still keep the surface feeling dry.
Family Heirloom In The Making: The waterproof barrier is guaranteed to outlast 200 commercial launderings. Your rugged jeans will tear into rags after just 150 washes.
Safe For Baby & Environment: The waterproof barrier is phthalate, BPA and lead and heavy metal free. The waterproof barrier is also manufactured in Canada. No other waterproof material comes close to meeting such high standards of manufacturing.
Sized Perfectly: The change mat is sized at a convenient 18’’ x 22’’ (46 cm. x 56 cm.).
One Mat, Multiple Uses: You can use this mat as a play mat when going to the park or visiting a friend's place. It also serves as a portable sleeping area when going on trips or visiting relatives. Using our crib pad ensures that your child doesn't leave a yellow trail on Granny's tempurpedic mattress.
Pre-Washed; No Shrink: We pre-washed the organic bamboo to get rid of any shrinkage before sewing it with the waterproof barrier.
And YES! It can go into the dryer: This protector doesn't mind the dryer. You can put it into your dryer at regular heat and it (including the waterproof barrier) will be tickety-boo.
Awesome Gift Idea: No matter the sex of the child or whether your friend decides to use disposable or cloth diapers- one thing is for sure- she will most likely change her baby’s diaper every couple of hours. Hey, she might even take the baby out once in a while. Your friend will love this as a baby shower gift. Or a birthday gift. Or if you hate her sense of style and want to give her an elegantly designed, classic piece that does not scream Disney characters.
Q: I think that answers all of my questions for now, but what if I have more later?
A: Then let us know! If you are having issues, or just want to ask us a quesiton, why not call or email us and we'll do whatever we can to help you out! We're always around somewhere: email@example.com or 1-877-2-877-930.
I've been using lil helper diapers since my babe was 2 months old, and I will never go back to disposables. The diapers look absolutely adorable on his little bum. They clean very well and I have had no stains at all. Love this Canadian company! Becca Coleman on 13th Feb 2018
Ok I apologize for the length of this post but I'm having technical difficulties with my camera so can't upload my video.
First off, I have always planned to use cloth and I spent a lot of time researching cloth diapers well before we got pregnant. Like, 2 years before we even decided to start a family (I like to be prepared). It pains me that I never came across LilHelper during that time, but such is life. Long story short, I landed on pocket/envelope style diapers (control over absorbability was appealing) and I spent my early pregnancy slowly growing my stash of second hand as well as new. Now, I've spent some money on this investment from high-end expensive brand names to inexpensive no name diapers (surprisingly have been most disappointed in the high end brand diapers) and we also tried some all in ones with double gussets, so wasn't really looking to spend even more money HOWEVER our son is a master peer. By 6 months I was triple lining his overnight diapers and he was still waking up soaked through. This became especially frustrating as he has become a stomach sleeper. Some days we would experience leaks with every diaper even with more diaper changes, and then some days he would stay dry all day. I should mention I have mostly hemp and cotton inserts and it's just come to my attention that charcoal is much better for holding liquid as well as eschewing bacteria. It was getting hard to find consistency. My son is also not built like most babies, he's long and lean which makes finding diapers that will fit around his thighs tight enough almost impossible. LilHelper kept popping up on my fb feed, and I was intrigued by the background of the founders of the company. Surely people with such a solid background in science and physics could keep my son dry at night. Also, the easy snap inserts are super cool. So I ordered the trail diaper.
Let me tell you first of all, so impressed with how quickly it came AND it was vacuumed sealed! Pretty sweet. Coming from a customer service industry myself, I was blown away by the HAND WRITTEN thank you card and the free tea bags (seriously after entertaining a 9 month old a hot cup of tea is the highlight of my day, ah the glamorous life of a mom).
And how about those snap in inserts?! Really doesn't get any easier than this. I've gotten quick at stuffing the pocket diapers, but admittedly my husband stays far away from it. I saw the glint of excitement in his eyes when he saw me put the diaper together. Of course he fails to realize he is now back on laundry duty, muahahahaha! Having one slightly smaller for new babes is very helpful, plus when added to the larger one it covers the areas you want added absorption. Did I mention how uber soft they were as well? I might have even rubbed it against my face in jealousy. *Side note: maybe consider branching out into cloth pads for women???*
My son is my husband in miniature form, so his skin is crazy sensitive. He had taken a BM a couple days prior that had left him with an ulcerated rash. As most cloth diaper mommies, I try to avoid creams and use only with liners. Guys I kid you not, after a few hours in a LilHelper his rash looked at least 50% better, and I almost panicked thinking he hadn't peed in that long because the liners felt so dry (upon further investigation and weight comparison he did indeed pee in the diaper, crisis averted!). The next day I went online and ordered another diaper and a set of overnight inserts (Black Friday sale woot!). I have a lot of really cute pocket diapers so my plan is to slowly replace my current inserts with LilHelper ones. Dry bums for the win!
While I could talk all day about how happy I am with this diaper, I think it also should be mentioned that this is a company with heart. I've never seen a God Forbid guarantee like yours especially not one so openly stated. I was very lucky to not have struggles with conceiving our son, but many of my friends did and I have watched a couple go through the agony of miscarriage. I can't imaging having to explain why you are returning an item that you hoped would be for your baby, so seeing that you care about those women is truly a wonderful thing.
So here I am, sipping a nice hot cup of tea and and thanking my lucky stars that I stumbled upon LilHelper :D Emily Heideman on 13th Feb 2018
