We know how much time you put into each and every decision you make for your child. That's why we hope that if you're reading this (and you are), then you've decided that Lil Helper diapers are right for you! After all, they're smart, kind, funny, and most importantly, extremely humble. "But wait!" I hear you say, "with those attributes, they must be... Canadian! And since I'm not from Canada or the US, how will these diapers get to me?? Polar bears can't swim that far with diapers on their backs can they?"
Don't worry, my foreign friends! We have anticipated this problem and come up with a solution just for you! Introducing the International Day Pack! An offer designed to be shipped as quickly as possibly to virtually anywhere in the world! And it includes the following:
If you are not into doing laundry everyday, we would recommend getting at least 2 and preferably 3 packs. So if you plan on washing your diapers every 2 days then you need 2 Day Packs. You should ideally start with 2 day packs and if you think you need more diapers then we recommend you get an additional pack.
Now, sending your precious diapers in a giant metal tube that then soars over which an ocean can be slightly nerve-wracking. That's why we'll do everything in our power to make the process as easy as possible for you. As such, we've anticipated some questions you might have:
Q: How long will it take my diapers to get to me?
Q: Can I track my package?
Q: Really? I can track it no matter which country it's going to?
Q: Cool. I don't know what any of that means.
And of course, all of this comes with the our legendary customer support where emails are answered within minutes and you always have the option to call in with questions.
Cloth diapering, like any new thing you try, has a learning curve but our diapers are designed to be intuitive mixed with our over-zealous customer service, you will never be in want of answers.
Think we are kidding? Here’s the cell number of Lil Helper’s CEO, Mohammed, 647-885-4642. Ask him why you should get his diapers. Don’t worry about the time- just call. Now try that with any other company.
I tried cloth diapering with my oldest who is now 4 years old and it was a total bust because I felt overwhelmed by the choices out there and I just did not understand how everything worked. I currently have two kids ages 7 months and 2 who are both still in diapers. It was becoming so expensive to continue buying diapers so I set off on a journey to find good diapers. I am a huge believer in supporting small businesses and I started my search on Instagram. I kept running into Lil Helpers and they just stood out to me. After visiting the website and just seeing how personal they are as owners and all of the incredible information they provide I knew I had to try them out. So I started with the trial diaper and let me tell you I ordered the International day pack ASAP. These work perfect on both of my girls and we have had no issues with leaks nor with blow outs. Each time the packaging has been great and its so nice that they write out individual cards to each buyer. That alone is enough for me to continue buying and supporting Lil Helpers. I also love how easy it is to reach someone at any time and they recently posted a ton of helpful trouble shooting videos that were full of tons of great info. I would definitely recommend them!!! Last August I bought a by myself created 4 day package. 24 shells, 24 charcaol inserts, 20 bamboo inserts, 4 overnight inserts, 5 packages of bamboo liners. The first email I received from a staff member of little helpers was not what I was hoping for. (no discount like in the 1 day packages and a lot of added stuff for fee what I didn’t need). After one phone call (got Mohammed on the phone) everything was sorting. The same discount as with the one day packages got applied to my 4 day package
My reasons for going for cloth diapers:
- I don’t use single use menstruation plastic items. But a moon cup and nice cloth inserts. Why would I want my baby to get plastic against his bum?
- Single use diapers are heavier on the environment also when you take the extra washing in account.
- Clothes diapers are prettier.
My reasons for going for Little helpers.
- I wanted to go for full organic products but the price and functionality of little helper diapers are the best. And after a view times washing I hopefully washed most pesticides out.
- Two snap in inserts is the easiest for changing.
- The size: newborn until potty training.
- Charcoal antibacterial promises.
Now are 3 months of using the diapers I am very happy with my choose.
My mother an intensive care new born nurse who was worried about it likes it now as well. She told me she is recommending it to everybody.
My baby came one month early weighing 3 kilos’s. (dropping until 2,7 k). I have been able to use the diapers from day 1.
In the beginning I used the shell on it’s smallest setting with one small insert for my baby. The big inserts I was using myself as post partum inserts. It would have been nice if I could have snapped in the inserts but also loose in combination with tight underwear they stayed perfect in place.
The first month I experienced a bit with bamboo and charcoal. I did notice that as soon as I saw a rash coming up, swapping to exclusive charcoal made it go away within hours.
At some point the diaper kept leaking pee and it was time for insert a double insert. But what is the best, bamboo or charcoal? I put on the towel to sheets of kitchen towel and on top one bamboo and one charcoal. Charcoal was able to absurb double the liquid before the towel got wet. But if you put weight on the charcoal it loses all it’s liguid instantly and the bamboo holds it way better. So I went for a diaper on the small setting: plus one bamboo insert with on top a nice charcoal one. It worked like a charm! No more pee leaks. In 1 month time I’ve had twice poo running down his legs. It would be nice if the diaper had two extra snaps to make the leg holes smaller for the premature babies. Now I learned if you hear of feel the baby producing: keep him belly up (not on the side) or change the diaper. And no more dirty clothes happened.
Now the baby is big enough to use the diapers without the riser snaps and with one big insert and one small one. I still like my combi of one bamboo plus one charcoal most.
The only problem is that the bamboo inserts take really long to dry. Sometimes when I didn’t plan the washing good, I end up using the dryer. Which I don’t like. For that reason I am going to order a view more inserts.
If I could change the 4 day packages and I would remove 6 outer shells and add 10 big bamboo inserts.
What little helper could inprove. The inserts are completely flat. You can make some circles patern on it. With thicker edges. That would keep the poo more at it’s place.
In the beginning I used the bamboo liners. Now I don’t because the washing machine washes everything spotless clean. Maybe this will change when the baby starts to eat solids. But for now no pre emptying or prewashing the inserts. Just unsnapping all the snaps and putting it in the washing machine.
What would be nice if little diapers sold: body extensions. The baby needs almost a size bigger because of the bulky diapers. But a size bigger would have to long arms on not perfect upper body fit. Most bodies have snaps in the same size. Just a little piece of clothe with some snaps on it would make a great extension. I made it myself and uses it a lot.
I compared Little helper with Grovria, bum genius beforehand and I am still convince I have made the best choise.
One more thing what I my husband would like different on the diapers and I agree with. The middle snap a different colour so that it is easier to snap it in the setting you want to use.
So I give little helper diapers at the moment a 10. I am super happy with them. But for little helper to keep a 10, I am expecting some small improvements over the next years.
