Everything from the shape to the feel against the skin to the absorption is perfect. I really loved these. They’re so smooth and you can’t see any seams through your shirt. I would recommend these to anyone breastfeeding! cristina on 7th Aug 2018
I started using these last week and have been very satisfied. I was tired of waking up and having to change my clothes, sheets, blankets, babies clothes. One pair last me all night, my baby nurses through the night and I was like a fountain when I let down. Dry mornings are happy mornings. Unknown on 31st Jul 2018
*On baby #3
*2 1/2 month old boobie addict
*Huge leaker (like, I lay out bath towels on my bed every night...)
*Ridiculously huge boobs due to BFing
*Frequent applier of nipple creams
*Enjoys leaving the house without leaking everywhere/looking like I have maxi-pads in my bra
*Fan of reusable products
So, in all honesty, I was given two pairs free to test by Lil Helper. However, I'm not afraid to tell them when their stuff sucks. Thankfully, this did not suck.
The shape of these pads makes them stand out against a lot of commercial reusable breastpads that I have personally used. They are contoured in a way that kind of snuggles you. This, combined with the white PUL exterior make them nearly invisible in my bra (and waterproof!). Like, I seriously was wearing a thin t-shirt and could not tell at all. This is awesome.
Pricing seems on par for what I've seen at certain big-box stores for their products.
I'm a big fan of the layer against your skin-it's super soft. It also wicks away moisture-maybe a little too well. After wearing, I honestly couldn't tell if I had leaked and it had absorbed anything or not by touch (I could tell because I leak a TON and so it weighed a bit more). This is nice because I didn't have the painful/awkward dried-milk-acting-as-glue-and-sticking-to-my-nipple-causing-me-pain issue.
My only complaint isn't a complaint, but more of a suggestion... I wish they were a little bigger for overnights because I leak a TON and my baby will go a few hours without eating at night. I usually can soak a spot in a bath towel and even my sheets-however, after all night I only got a little on my top. Perhaps if I had swapped when I woke up in the middle of the night, I would have been fine though (bamboo holds a LOT in my experience with cloth diapers).
Washing: I washed with diaper laundry and with regular clothes-I didn't do anything special. I don't use softeners or anything harsh with regular laundry for what it's worth. I did use two different "natural" nipple creams and they both washed out fine without any special effort. My advice is to follow the universal "diaper protocol" and don't ever use anything with petroleum products, and it should wash out just fine.
I love these. I definitely want to purchase some more for myself, and some currently-pregnant friends in the near-future. Liz on 24th Jul 2018
